I built my first diode doubler for an oscillator in 1966 and recently used several in the LO chain for a 24 GHz SSB transceiver.<br /><br /><br />The super-VXO circuit is also pushing 35 years old.<br /><br />The key word is >experiment< as different crystals need different Ls to pull and still keep crystal Q level stability.
