The good news is that conditions are not a lot better than they have been. The bad news is that they won't be getting much better. But take heart guys: the next few years should be pretty good. Now is the time to get those rigs and antennas for the upper HF bands in shape. Construction of a second 17 meter JBOT amplifier begins today (this one for the Azores SSB transmitter).

Well, I wouldn't be writing off this cycle quite so soon. Even the folks that really know what they are talking about in this science (2nd most dismal after economics) get it wrong, ... a LOT. Happy propagating!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to agree with Casey on this one. Even though the current prediction does seem the most plausible, these "predictions" are constantly changing in order to match the observed phenomena.

I don't subscribe to QRO on the ham bands but, as with motorcycles, I simply admire the "big iron" transmitters for the magnificent machines they are.
