ARDUSAT: Arduino In SPAAACE!

Billy's Arduino Uno board arrived yesterday and he has been working on getting the LED to blink. (We bought the board with funds generated by people who have been entering Amazon through the SolderSmoke blog site -- thanks.) We really like the little Italian board. On it you will find a map of Italy, including Sardinia and Sicily. And there is a notation on the board noting that its production was carbon neutral. Bravi!

The video above shows one of the cooler applications of the Arduino board.

  1. Hey Bill. It is great to hear Billy has a new Arduino. I bought my first one after years of turning up my nose to them. I thought "Why dumb down microprocessor programming?", BUT *now I get it*.

When he has questions, he has a world-wide support group. The community around the Arduimo it fantastic, especially the people at Adafruit Industries.

I hope he enjoys learning to use it as much as I have.

Best regards from a beach in Northern Michigan,

  2. Bill,

Great to hear that the donations have gone to worth while education of the next generation of gadgeteer.

Good to see they are going to use the Arduino's in satellites.

    Cheers,
