W1JSB's Very Cool Portable Rigs -- RadioSet-Go!

Brad Smith alerted me to this.  Very cool.   Hanz W1JSB is churning out some amazing trail-friendly rigs.   I really like the tinted-translucent front panel.

Here is the site for Hanz's company:  http://radioset-go.com/

  1. What I love about those beautiful boxes is the lack of labels on the controls and knobs, it adds an air of mystique about it, only the operator knows what they all do, his hands a blur on the complicated machinery. I am almost tempted to rip apart my KX3 and put it all in a pelican box.

  2. Reminds me of VK3ZZ's Suitcase radio. http://www.qrz.com/DB/VK3ZZ

If building such a rig I'd highly recommend a recess to allow a microphone, throw-out antenna wire and any connecting cables to fit inside the case when carried. Eg http://theradioboard.com/rb/viewtopic.php?t=6215&start=15
