FB Helge. This is really cool. I didn't realize until I saw the schematic at the end that he was on 3579 kHz -- that is the old color-burst frequency, and now the frequency of the Color-burst Liberation Army.
It was challenging to do this without sidetone. But there appears to be a bit of room left in the matchbox -- could he squeeze in a few more components for a rudimentay sidetone? Maybe just a piezo buzzer across the key?

Very neat rig! His website shows a homebrew sidetone in a small metal case complete with speaker and battery, but I guess he was one pocket short of bringing it on the outing shown in the video. I also see from the RBN data that he has operated on this frequency since 2021 so he

I like this too, quite PeterParker-esque. No concern for TR sequencing, just bang power on the relays and hope for the best. Super simple but effective. He must have used an external audio amp and speaker. Agree with Bill's comment a $5 piezo buzzer across the +Tx 9v should give usable sidetone. Fun! Paul VK3HN.
