Who is this person? He is in a prominent position in Artie Moore's very early radio shack. Artie was obviously big on labeling things, and there is a label under the picture but I can't make it out. What do you folks think? Who is this?

A Bing.com visual search suggests Sir William Ramsay, a Nobel winning chemist.
If you look at this slightly higher res photo:
https://www.peoplescollection.wales/sites/default/files/images/2022/January/Arthur%20Artie%20Moore%27s%20Amateur%20Radio%20Equipment.jpg?itok=BbFYv8zP
You can almost see the name, William Ramsay, written on the upper right of the portrait in script.

I did a bit of work trying to find out who he was but was unsuccessful. I just tried the Bing visual search and William Ramsay was the first suggestion. Thanks to the person with that advice.

Bill, he is Sir William Ramsay, a Scottish Chemist. I used Topaz software to clean up his picture, then I used Google reverse image lookup to find him. Topaz uses AI. I did this work for you before I read the comments. Kudos for the other comments before me. And may everyone have a beautiful Soldersmoke day! N8WQ.
