Bill, you correctly mentioned in the podcast, AI is getting intelligent
(but not conscience of itself). The study shows diminished brain activity in those using AI for generating an essay. Along with that, the AI Agent is probably getting incrementally more intelligent.
We need to look no further than our 80's/90's SciFi. Captain Jean-Luc Picard on StarTrek-TNG was assimilated and transformed into the Borg spokesman "Locutus of Borg", at which point he said "Resistance is Futile...."
