Another AMAZING Homebrew Vacuum Tube (Valve)

I feel a moral obligation to put these projects on the blog every time I see one.  It just seems like the right thing to do.  Great work on the Pilotron.   Great workshop video also.

  2. That is a fantastic video..
Being a ham since 1957, tubes were what I used for many rig buildings. My dad 3sk(Canada) later ve3sk, STARTED hamming in 1919, and used spark and rotary tx.
He mentioned they made tubes using double hung filiament lightbulbs. They tried to make the filiament break so as to leave one part of the filiament in tact and the separated part as the grid and wrapped foil around the bulb of to act as a plate.

Great video, I found it very calming after an unpleasant day at work.
The only downside, it makes me feel like an appliance operator.

  4. I love the videos this individual produces!! As a younger ham/homebrewer i'm glad people with the knack pass on their Knacketry in this manner. VERY educational and insures that this knowledge is preserved. 73 De N0ZFG
