ABC Radio National did an excellent episode on Ruby, a brilliant scientist who with her male supervisor repurposed War Radio equipment to detect and map solar and galactic radio noise, tells the entire story, her clash with government over employment status after marriage is an embarrassment but just a low point in her otherwise brilliant and stellar radio astronomy career.
