Hello Bill,
ReplyDeleteI have seen these displays before and played with them (btw, you can get them for about $3 already from AliExpress:
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20170110084746&SearchText=OLED+display+module )
However, I do wonder about their usability for this type of application. The thing is very tiny!
Wouldn't it be a bit better to have a larger display for your VFO? I.e. something that can be read also from a distance without squinting?
There are all sorts of LCD modules available cheaply.
Jan: I also use the larger 16X2 display, but I kind of like this small one. Easier to set up. No back light. I2C so only 4 wires total including ground. 73 Bill
DeleteCool stuff! Now just to find a way to get you and Pete to post your full radio Arduino sketches!
ReplyDeleteI just use the sketches (programs) of others. In this case of LA3PNA. His work is on GitHub.
