What I love about those beautiful boxes is the lack of labels on the controls and knobs, it adds an air of mystique about it, only the operator knows what they all do, his hands a blur on the complicated machinery. I am almost tempted to rip apart my KX3 and put it all in a pelican box.

ReplyDeleteIf building such a rig I'd highly recommend a recess to allow a microphone, throw-out antenna wire and any connecting cables to fit inside the case when carried. Eg http://theradioboard.com/rb/viewtopic.php?t=6215&start=15
